Second marker installed honoring Judge James Benton Parsons and Black Educators in Decatur
On December 4, 2025, a second trail marker was unveiled in a ceremony at Parsons School.
This marker tells the story of Judge James B. Parsons on one side and a brief history of Black education and educators in Decatur on the other side.
