With the support of an Untold Stories grant, Mr. Thomas Miller, band and orchestra director at Johns Hill Magnet School, is enriching music education by introducing students to composers and arrangers from diverse backgrounds. This grant allowed him to select new music for his spring concert, ensuring that students experience a variety of cultural and historical perspectives through music. In addition to the concert, Mr. Miller is working to bring composers directly to the classroom, giving students the rare opportunity to learn from the very artists behind the music they perform.
